The Biennial General Meeting began at approximately 9 a.m. under the leadership of Jim Clark.
An uncontested slate of 14 board members was elected by acclamation.
Reelected were Mimi Budd (15) 65-67, Barbara Bush (11) 64-66, Jim Clark (12) 64-66, Virginia DeLancey (4) 62-64, Mike Goodkind (16) 65-67, Peter Hansen (27) 66-68, Greg Jones (22) 66-68, Warren Keller (23) 66-67, David Koren (9) 63-66, Peter Stolzman (25) 66-68, David Strain (7) 63-66, and Greg Zell (6) 62-64. Budd, Koren and Stolzman were board appointees in 2016-17. All others above were elected to full terms at the 2015 BGM in Berkeley.
New members elected to the board for two-year terms were Clemmie Gilpin (25) 66-68 and Ned Greeley (23) 66-67.
Numbers after names are Peace Corps Nigeria group numbers followed by years of service.
During a brief break in the BGM, the board members held a brief board meeting to elect new officers. Selected by acclamation of Board Members present, Budd, Bush, Clark, Gilpin, Goodkind, Greeley, Hansen, Keller, Koren, and Strain, were:

Vice President: Jim Clark
Treasurer: Warren Keller
Secretary: Mike Goodkind
Newsletter Editor: Peter Hansen
Membership Chair: Barbara Bush
Warren Keller presented the FON treasurer’s report for the 2016-17 fiscal year. Keller had previewed this report at the Board of Director’s meeting the previous night.
Informational presentations were made by Queen Obasi, leader of the African Community Health Initiative, a FON grant recipient, and an overview of the National Peace Corps Assocation was presented by Glenn Blumhorst, NPCA president.
The BGM was adjourned at approximately 10:30 a.m.
