Biafran Memories

David Strain and Andrew MacCormack reviewed Half of a Yellow Sun on page 10 of the Winter, 2006 FON Newsletter [Newsletter Winter 2006-7]. Sarah Robinson at the publisher Alfred A Knopf gave 10 copies of the book to FON and they were offered to the membership in exchange for Reminiscences of Biafra.  The reminiscences have been shared with Chimamanda Adichie’s website (www.halfofayellowsun.com/public/yourstory/guestbook).  None are published there yet, but there are 3 pages of fascinating contributions from other sources.  The author has her own website with additional information: www.l3.ulg.ac.be/adichie.

Some of the submissions will be published in the FON Newsletter, but the newsletter has space limitations and it is just black and white.  The beauty of the web is that we are not constrained by size or space limitations, and we can quickly include color pictures or images of non-electronic documents.  So here are all the submissions.  If you are inspired, feel free to offer up your own recollection.  There is an audience for your memories!
